Municipal Strategic Plans

Cheryl Christian, a municipal consultant with over 20 years of experience in local government, provides detail strategic plans for rural communities in Manitoba. Once she’s developed the content, I transform it into a final, polished report complete with infographics, photography, and branding.

We’ve worked on over 10 of these reports together. If you’re interested in learning more about Cheryl’s work, see govfox.ca.

Here you’ll see the most recent report we worked on, for the Municipality of St. Francois Xavier. I had also designed their logo and put together a brand for them to use in this and future communications.

Below you’ll see examples of the other plans we’ve developed over the past three years. It’s important that they all are somewhat cohesive in organization, with each one having a distinct look unique to the individual community.

A common challenge is the lack of photography provided by the community. Often, in order to create something that looks high resolution and professional, I use a combination of source images and photos I’ve been able to take myself in rural Manitoba.

Another challenge is the amount of content. I always want to find interesting and engaging ways to show off the more dense pieces of information without ballooning the page count beyond what the municipalities will be able to affordably print.
